“How did the Bible come about?” ” Which translation is the best?” “How should I read the Bible?”
These questions, and others like them, inspired two parish families to approach Fr. Aleksa and the Enrichment Committee about the possibility of starting a Bible Study at St. George church. With much enthusiasm, Fr. Aleksa teamed up with members of those famlies and set a date for the first session – Wednesday, November 28th, 2018.
Meetings will be regular, and posted to the bulletin, online church calendar, and advertised in the vestibule in flyers.
Want to join us for a session? Check out the calendar online to see what reading we’ll be looking at in the next class – and then do the following:
- Read the assigned section of Scripture at least twice
- Journal your own notes and questions as you read
- Bring the journal to the study session
- A few minutes at the close of each class will frame the historical and cultural context for the following week’s readings
