On Monday, August 15th, the St Sebastian Young Adult Association (SSYAA) decided to have a year-end celebration at Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio. The St Sebastian group offers an opportunity for Christian growth and fellowship for the teenagers of St George Serbian Orthodox Church, and has completed a number of events together throughout the course of the year. In addition to their regular meetings, they have gathered to meet those in their community that struggle with homelessness and poverty. They visited the Tarry House, a temporary housing facility for homeless in Akron, as well as another facility that feeds and houses the impoverished.
To celebrate their final event of the year the students opted to spend time together at Cedar Point. Fr Aleksa and Dn Larry, along with the teens of St George, rode some of the world’s highest, fastest, and best rollercoasters. It was an opportunity for everyone to bond, and get excited for next year’s activities.
