On May 1st, 2016, our St George parish celebrated the Great Feast of the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Services began at 10am with the singing of the Paschal troparion and the Paschal verses. The church was completely full with joyful and faithful Christians celebrating our Lord’s resurrection. Fr Aleksa’s homily focused on how fear is a great and dangerous motivator for all of us – but in Christ, by the grace of God, the power of fear to control has been abolished.
Following Divine Liturgy the parish enjoyed an expanded coffee hour complete with meat, cheese and lamb. The children of the parish enjoyed an egg hunt and bouncy house with many staying into the early afternoon! It was truly a joyous day for the community.
